The Listing Fee Is Now $1

We dropped Delay's flat listing fee from $5 to $1. Same no-percentage, no-subscription, no-data-selling model—now at a price that's barely a rounding error on a sale.

A Dollar to List. That's It.

Starting today, listing your gear on Delay costs $1. Not $5. Not a percentage of your sale. Not a monthly subscription. One dollar, flat, per listing.

If you've listed before, you know we've always kept pricing simple: a single flat fee, charged once when you publish, with no cut of your sale price and no strings attached. We're keeping everything about that model exactly the same—we're just lowering the number.

The whole point of Delay is that selling your gear shouldn't feel like getting nickel-and-dimed. A dollar is about as close to free as we can get while keeping the lights on and the data brokers out. It's the fairest deal we know how to offer.

Why Lower It?

The flat listing fee is our entire business model. We don't take a percentage of your sale, we don't run ads, and we don't sell your data—so the fee is how Delay stays alive. We priced it at $5 to be dramatically cheaper than the percentage-based fees everywhere else. But cheaper still isn't the same as *obviously* fair, and we'd rather err all the way on the side of the seller.

At $1, the math gets almost silly to argue with.

The Math Still Sells Itself

Say you sell an $800 guitar.

  • On a typical percentage-based marketplace, you might pay a 5% seller fee (−$40), payment processing (−$21.85), and shipping (−$10–30)—netting you somewhere around $710.
  • On Delay, you pay a $1 listing fee, meet a buyer in your neighborhood, and skip shipping entirely—netting you $799.
Same guitar. Nearly ninety dollars' difference. And now the only fee in that equation is a single dollar.

What Isn't Changing

  • No percentage cuts. We still take $0 of your sale price.
  • No subscriptions. You pay per listing, only when you publish.
  • No data monetization. We still don't run third-party trackers, sell your information, or train AI on your photos without consent.
  • Non-refundable, as always. The fee is charged at publication and covers the cost of hosting your listing.
Listings you've already paid for keep their original terms—this change applies to new listings going forward.
